Hi, my name is Saymara, and I’ll be honest—I’m not perfect. But I take comfort in knowing that God created me perfectly in His image. Today, I want to share a bit about the importance of letting go and letting God work in our lives, just as He’s been working in mine. There was a time when I struggled with surrendering my plans to God. I had a vision for my life—one that included the kids, the house, the family I wanted to build. I dreamed of forever, of a future that seemed so clear. But then, suddenly, those dreams were shattered. What I thought was certain, turned out to be fleeting.
I know I’m not alone in this. How many times do we replay those dreams in our heads, praying for them to come true? We hold onto the past, hoping that what we imagined will somehow come back to life. But I’ve learned that those thoughts are not from God. He is the one who decides what our future holds, what our tomorrow will look like, and even what our today looks like... and bringing the right partner into your life—someone who shares your vision and dreams, and is just as committed as you are to building a life centered around God. All you have to do is trust and be patient as well as take accountability for all that you have done throughout that chapter in your life. ("Accountability and what that looks like" will be its own post, lookout for it soon!)
As hard as it is to hear, God’s timing is never our timing. They say patience is key, and while it may feel like we’re stuck in a holding pattern, God is always working behind the scenes, shaping His perfect plan for us. In the waiting, when it feels like the world has paused, know that God’s plan is still unfolding. His purpose is never in vain. Even when seasons change, people change, relationship/friendships fail and we face uncertainty, His hand is always near. In His perfect time, He will reveal the path that’s meant for us. The key is to trust the wait—the pauses, the stillness, the moments of rest. For in God's perfect timing, we are always blessed. And what lies ahead will far surpass anything we could have imagined that dream to be, had it come true.
